Robots are already doing many things for us, including making clothing items and dyeing them. Researchers at USC’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing are using Baxter to collaborate with those who want to tie dye their t-shirts. The user simply have to draw a design for Baster to trace, bring a shirt, and wait for Baster to detect the center.
As the above video shows, Baxter twists and flattens the shirt and follows the path drawn by the user. The above video shows how it works.
