In the past few years, we have covered plenty of bio-inspired robots here. Tel Aviv University researchers have taken it to the next level by connecting a real locust ear to a robot. It can receive electrical signals from it to respond. The first step was to build a robot that can respond to signals it receives from its environment. They also developed an Ear on a Chip device that allows the ear to stay alive by supplying it oxygen and food.
