Here is a soft tensegrity robot driven by thin artificial muscles that can be used for exploring unknown spaces inaccessible to humans. Researchers at Suzumori Endo Lab, Tokyo Tech are behind this robot. As the below video shows, this robot can move between walls. It can adapt to a wide variety of widths.
