Meet the SILVER2 Aquatic Robot: a bot by researchers from the BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn that can walk on the seafloor while taking videos. It can negotiate muddy and rocky surfaces. Its movement is inspired by lobsters.
The robot can traverse irregular terrains and interact with its environment delicately. Science Mag has more information about this robot here.
