Obi: Dining Robot for People with Disabilities

We have already covered a bunch of robots that can cook food for us. Obi is designed to feed people. It is a dining robot for people who lack upper extremity function. It can switch between 4 food compartments.

Obi features multi-directional food capture, portion control, and spoon wiping function. Users can control the robot with two switches to select food and command food delivery. Obi weighs 7 pounds and lasts up to 3 hours on a full charge.
