3D Printed Flexible Robot Fingers for Assistive Living Prosthetics

Robotic Gizmos

Here are 3D printed humanoid robot fingers that mimic the strength and tenderness of a human hand. As SFU mechatronics graduate Manpreet Kaur explains, robots with such flexible sensors can prove essential for independent living. The inspiration was taken from animals like an octopus.

Thanks to this approach, bio-degradable easily repairable prosthetics can be developed.
