In the near future, we will be able to print robots for custom tasks in minutes. As New Scientist explains, University of Copenhagen in Denmark researchers have developed a robot-builder that can print new robots in less than 13 minutes. The process is called 1D printing.
The machine bends wires with motors already attached. Once the robot is done, it is flattened and recycled. Promising, no?
